COUNCIL OF SCHOOL COUNCILS

On October 25th several of our executive members attended the CBE Council of School Councils (COSC).  The goal of the meeting was to provide a forum for the board of trustees to communicate with members of school councils throughout the city.

CAPSC was there to present about the association and field questions from those in attendance.  For the evening's agenda as well as to view the CAPSC presentation please click this link

The final portion of the meeting gave attendees the opportunity to provide individual trustees with comments and questions surrounding communication between the CBE and other councils.  There were many great points made and there was a lot of collaboration going on amongst school councils.  The CBE has posted summaries from these discussions online under "Summary of discussion with trustees".  Please have a look at what was discussed and be sure to contact us if you have anything else to add.  CAPSC would also like to hear your feedback at our November meeting.  Much of what was discussed at COSC centered on communication between school councils.  CAPSC would like to help facilitate making these connections and we would like to know what you feel would be the best method to do so.
